North Italia at SXSW
Our Pi Day activation made enough of a splash to attract the attention of the local news.
Over the two and a half years that I worked on North Italia before they rotated me off to focus on Lucid Motors, I worked with the account, social, and creative teams to help North define and articulate an ownable identity for themselves.
As the strategist on North Italia’s social AOR account, I was intimately involved with the launch of two new seasonal promotions - Pi Day, a pizza-themed campaign running every spring, and Summer Sips, a cocktail-themed execution running all summer long. I led all research and concepting for both campaigns in 2021 and 2022, working closely with the account team to help the client pick a theme as well as the social & creative teams to ensure that the underlying theme of “hometown flavors” and a fun, friendly tone were consistent across both. We beat the projected sales both years, with 2022’s Summer Sips campaign more than doubling the goals set by the client.
The other tentpole strategy deliverable on the account was new restaurant openings - I led research and developed campaign concepts & tactics for each of the ten locations opened during my time on the account, including a plan to open two locations in the Atlanta area in a six-week window.
In addition to the above work, I was also involved with under-the-hood work like creating their brand book, leading workshops, and working with their market research team - all of which gave the brand the confidence to do their first event activation after COVID, a SXSW stunt show themed around their yearly Pi Day pizzas.
